How about Mark getting of his *** and getting these puppies out to the peeps that ware promised delivery in 'early/mid October'?!

I'm normally a patient dude, but this is getting ridiculous.

Who said anything about "expecting different results"? I'm only expecting it to be different from a regular Rat. I know it's going to be similar to my Rat Tail.

Why did I both buying it, you ask? I like fuzz and I wanted two Rat-based pedals. One for high gain and one for low gain.

Mark sent me an e-mail yesterday telling me my pedal is on its way and will take a week or two. I thought it would have already been in the mail considering two others received theirs and I know I was high on the preorder list.

Oh, and now that I've seen the black on black, I kind of like the yellow font more. But I'm happy to be in the elite group.

Well hit me up before you flip...and if you never flip and I find a yellow/black...maybe we can swap.

I get the multiple dirt thing, your strategy sounds great to me. I wasn't referring to buying the pedal, I was referring to the people who seemed shocked that they're getting bad communication.

Oh! Fair enough! I've never dealt with Mark prior to this, so I can't comment on that.

I thought you meant expecting different results from a Rat clone! There's been a lot of nay-saying about that subject. Many people believe there are way too many and that they need to stop.

Is there really that many rat clones out there? I remember before the rat tail became readily available the only other option I knew about was the Beavis Audio FKR or whatever it was called.

Currently I'm aware of the Rat Tail and King, obviously the Iron Pig, and the mooer black secret. Am I missing out on a sub-sect of rat clones out there?

Aside from what you mentioned, I've seen a lot of custom builds based on the Rat, but nothing readily available. Of course, there's a bunch of Rat pedals from Pro Co that are based off their original Rat. I don't really consider those clones per se.

I'd say there's more Muff and Tubescreamer clones.

Yeah that's what I thought. Considering until Proco released the whiteface reissue you couldn't even get a "real" rat without going used/vintage. I feel like 3 people doing their take on a rat isn't too bad considering there are about 1000 muff and tubescreamer variants readily available out there.

There are several rat based pedals besides the ones you guys mentioned. They are just more guitar oriented. One is called Brown Rabbit.

Check out the section "related" on effectsdatabase.com for an overview. Great site.

Well considering this is the first time dealing with Earthbound Audio I had no idea it would be like this, so ya I am shocked at the lack of communication and luckily I just got back my old Supercollider because I was wanting another one but refuse to go through this again.

If anybody wants to flip theirs, please PM me. I'd love one but I'm very hesitant to order because it seems like there's a fast collection of funds with no communication.

I know it seems sketchy, but I wouldn't hesitate to deal with Mark again. I know he's a good dude.

Oh I sure he is and he makes damn fine pedals but thankfully all my EA needs will be covered because this forking over money and hoping a pedal shows up someday isn't how I want to do business.
