unfortunately, i am still waiting for my beast since i've been told mine is shipped at the week of 21June.
here is the latest update by Mark.
Earthbound Audio is officially ending production.
After months of uncertainty it's become clear that I need a break and a fresh start. There will be one last batch of Beasts heading to Prymaxe Vintage plus whatever stock remains of Supercolliders and Centurions.
A small amount of pedals are available here direct and after they are sold the Earthbound Audio pedals are gone for good. All pedals will still have a full warranty against functional defect - earthboundaudio@gmail.com will remain to field any repair questions.
Below are the last of the pedals and their color / quantity available. Build time is 1-2 weeks. Quantity left will be updated as needed.
BEAST
Lime Green: 2

| | | | I don't know Mark personally, or the reasons why he's stopping production (again).
Communication isn't really the best with him, but I eventually got the pedals I ordered so can't really complain.
I do like the Beast, its a great pedal. |

from 22May, the date i paid. I know Mark is a honor guy with great reputation here
but i am really frustrated now with checking my mail box day & night.

The review of it on Bassfuzz.com was also good. It's a shame he will no longer be making these, but I'm pretty stoked to have nabbed a new one before they are all gone. |

Other than that, I think the Beast defies description |

| | | | I've been told/heard that the Beast is voiced for bass. Is this not the case?
Also, to those with a beast, how does the oscillation sound? Is it sort of a musical, Pigtronix sort of osc or a tinny digital sound like the BOSS DD# |
07-20-2011, 09:00 AM
| | | | The Beast is indeed beastly.
The Oscillation sounds cool to me, and is in no way tinny digital sounding. |

| | Registered User | | | | | I now have my Supercollider. Wow...this thing soooo awesome! The low end retention is so good, I'd swear it was made for bass. It is a very thick, vivid fuzz. Definitely a shame that these will no longer be produced. |

may be i can collect Mark's DNA from it
Thx a lot to Mark for arranging the shipment even he is in a hard time.
will only be available to give it a test drive by next weekend

Trying to do it on your own, answering emails, taking orders, production runs, while at the same time come up with new ideas - sounds pretty difficult to me.
I know that demand has been pretty high for the BEAST and SC and well, I love my Beast and want to wish him the best of luck. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
