I'm trying to get in touch with Earthquaker Devices to get some more information on their Monarch pedal, but the 'contact' link on their website doesn't work
Does anyone have their e-mail?

There's some info here http://www.tonefactor.com/earthquake...overdrive.html

I know that you can contact Earthquaker on Ilovefuzz.com but the site has been down for a few days.

If not for his sake, for mine, tell us! How is it with bass? I'm really interested in this pedal.

+1 - ilovefuzz.com is definitely the best way to talk to them, but ILF is going through a server move this week.

The Monarch's deal is that it is a take on the Orange Amplifier overdrive type of sound. I traded it because I am not an overdrive guy and I don't play in any band setting so straight fuzz is more of my thing.

I will buy one again in the future though, a really heavy distortion with a lot of room to play around in. It nails the 70's black sabbath / Geezer bass tone. I like sounds that have a lot of volume, body and warmth too it and the EQD Monarch has a lot that. This would be an excellent pedal for stoner rock.

I never got to run it at 18 volts but you have a lot of room at 9 volts to do what you want with it. Lots of room for just a slight boost or just crank that gain and let it rip.

Nice, I'm looking for something that can do subtle to hard gain, along the orange vibe, so this might be perfect.

Then look no farther. That is how I would exactly describe this pedal.
