USPS says I'll be getting my Earthquaker Devices Monarch today, so I plan on recording some clips for youz guyz. There seems to be a lot of talk about it here, but not much solid evidence for how it works with bass, so I thought I'd help out.
My plan is to record a few licks direct, clean and dirty, with pick and fingers, and then use Amplitube 3 to simulate an Ampeg and a Gallien Krueger with the pedal in front at different settings. I only have an old Squier P-Bass at the moment, so that will have to do...
Now, my question is, what do you guys want to hear from this pedal? I'd like to be as thorough as possible, as I'm kind of anal about pedal demos, so any suggestions would be more than welcome!
I'll post the clips later tonight!
And here's the clips. Explanation under each track. Forgive the shoddy playing... I was mainly trying to show the capabilities of the pedal.

Overall, I like it. I will work for what I'm trying to do. I personally liked it the most with the bass at very low settings. Even at minimum, it only seemed like it lost the very lowest frequencies, the ones that are felt more. It also seems to bump up the midrange in a good way. You'll get a round, vintage sound with this pedal, IMO.
Also, one thing I noticed looking at the direct recorded wave forms is that the pedal compresses the signal a decent amount, but not horribly so. The wave from was pretty uniform with the pedal on, but had more pronounced peaks and valleys with it off. I should have screen capped...
