hey,

so has anyone used one of these on bass?

i've always wanted to get a tremolo to use with my fuzz and delays, and this looks a really cool pedal... am i right thinking any tremolo (like delays) should work fine with bass??

There is nothing about tremolo that should affect bass differently than guitar, as it is just something that turns your volume knob up and down over and over again.

As for the Hummingbird, it is a very choppy square-wave tremolo, so you're not gonna get that vintage, swamp-rock sound with it. You're gonna get a much more modern (maybe even electronica) sound with it. It isn't the most versatile tremolo out there, but does that one thing it does very well. And the guys from Earthquaker are awesome people. They have their own sub-forum over at ilovefuzz.com and drop in from time to time.

I had one for a while. But as stated before it's is a very choppy square wave Trem So it's kind of a one trick pony. I went from that to a ehx pulsar. I recommend that one as a starter trem. That way your not dropping serious money on a empress trem. Although it seems well worth the price.

I loved mine when I had it, still a little sore it got stolen. If a choppy trem is what you want its it, was a blast for me. Not totally usable in a classic rock band but great for making cool electronic or solo stuff. Pair it with a good delay and its awesome.
