EB VP JR - Where in Chain?

Sign in to disble this ad
I JUST bought (like, an hour ago!) an Ernie Ball VP JR locally. I put it between my bass and my my pedalboard, but I get NO sound. EDIT: This is the passive version.

If I plug the volume pedal directly into the amp, I get sound. If I plug it in at the end of my chain, I get sound. Between bass and pedalboard = no sound.

Why? Is there something in my chain that's muting out the sound before it gets to the amp?

Here's my setup (without the VP Jr):

Bass (active) - Sansamp BDDI - Morley Dual Bass Wah - Digitech Bass Synth Wah - Boss LMB3 - Boss GEB7 - Boss CEB3 - Boss BF3 - Micro POG - Amp

So, like I said - if the VP Jr comes after the POG, it's fine. If I try to put it between the bass and the BDDI - no dice.

Is it me?

Never mind about my problem! I found it!

Seems the jack in my BDDI is cutting in and out - a bit of a wiggle and I got the sound from between the bass and the board.

Thanx anyway!

Clarifications:
Passive version, so 250k not 25k?
And by "plugging directly into the amp" do you mean if you go bass->VP->amp it works?

guhh - too slow! I was gonna say, if it works like that then the fault isn't with the VP!

If I had to guess, and I'm just throwing this out there, you might want to see if the jack on your BDDI is cutting in and out. Maybe give it a bit of a wiggle to see if you get sound between the bass and your board.
