eBow and nylon tape strings

As long as the core of the string is metal it should work, but as to how well.......

The core is still metal I think. I was going to get a set of tapes fro my Dean Pace upright and try and use the eBow for bowed effects.

I can see where you are going, you might want to try TI jazz flats as well, they have a real DB string like bounce to then, but then they are one of the biggest makers of DB strings as well.

It really is a crime that dean didn't put a proper radius on the Pace so a real bow could be used, which would make the usefulness and popularity on those things jump.

I agree the Pace falls a little short for DB. I got mine so cheap it is a good starting point. If I start using it enough maybe an ergo bass later.
