Question EBS Bass IQ Trim Pot

Sign in to disble this ad
Inside my bass IQ (older model) there is one trim pot that is supposed to mix in original high frequency from the bypassed sound.

i am not sure why i would want to use this, but the pedal isn't getting the exact tone i want, the default setting is off, so I am wondering if anyone has used it, and what it does to the sound.

i know the best idea is to try it, but it takes some work taking it off my board and removing the bottom, etc.

HELP!

yeah i know, part of it is laziness and part of it is the fact that i am at work today and have a rehearsal tonight, and no time to go over it in the meantime.

When you get to tweak it a bit I'm sure we'd all be curious about the results

i turned mine completely off!!! it works like the blend knob on DOD fx25B... but put in mind that IQ and FX25 are completely different filter types...
i think that default for EBS IQ is 50%

I've tweaked mine and gotten a good result. But it really is just the high frequencies, don't expect any midrange whatsoever!

The reason you would want to use it is if you feel like the filter is cutting off too much of your top end - you can regain a bit of definition in your sound while still allowing the filter to sweep well into subsonic territory.
