Has anyone here used the EBS Multicomp Dual Band Compressor? If so what is your opinion of it? and is it worth the money. Does it ruin your tone or the sound of your amp?
Thanks!

I liked it, but it wasn't the comp for me and my style. Still, there's plenty of reviews if you search on Multicomp.

And here's bongomania's review of it.

I've it and I think it's a very good bass comp (comparing price to quality); if you get it used (but working) you could make a great deal!
Probably it slightly colour your sound in the tubesim mod (or also in the mb mod with extreme setting of the inner trimmer), but it's a "good" colour (IMHO).

In contrast with someone may think, despiute it's a pedal and not a rack unit I've found it working much better in the loop effect of your head (mine is an Aguilar AG500sc): probably the lateral switch "Active-Passive" could be bettere redefined "Loop use-Serial use"

Obviously if you want the best you should get a DBX 160A or a UREI, but I think that if you're not a pro or if you haven't a great studio activity, you could probably waste your money.

Good Luck!
