Has anyone tried the EBS D Phaser? Can't find any reviews on it just the bass samples they have on the EBS website.

I'm normally biased against digital phasers. Most have a very "plastic" feel to them that sounds very unnatural. In the right setting that makes them work well especially something like the Boss that is VERY digital sounding.

The EBS sounds closer to an analog sound but you can still tell that it is digital.

The settings I thought I'd like most (with the switches set to high resonance and Long) I didn't but I did dig it set to Short and low resonance.

It was a fairly pronounced effect which is often not the case with phasers on bass and it was compact and generally good sounding.

For the money there are others that I like a bit better, but I'd rock it.

I guess over all your pretty happy with it. If it sounds anything like the clips I think I'll like it. My main concern with any effects pedals are maintaining the tone/dry signal and volume level when the effect pedal is engaged.

I didn't keep it (I flip phasers almost as often as I change underwear - weekly at least) but I did dig it.

One big thing about the EBS is that there are a lot of options "under the hood". Under the plate is a set of switches for determining the number of stages for the different modes, setting it so the lows aren't phased (can be very helpful depending on the mix) and changing the LFO shape. There are also trimmers for the determining the start frequency of the sweep (handy) as well as gain. I believe default is unity and it only has boost, but it's a nice control to have.

The digital sound wasn't my cup of tea (and I'm not really an analog snob per se) but it's a very well thought out pedal IMO.
