EBS Microbass II problem - SORTED :)

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi

For some reason, I can no longer get my Microbass to work with 9V batteries. I haven't dropped/kicked/abused it and it worked perfectly well before. (It still works perfectly with mains voltage but is a little noisier that way.) The unit is so well designed that it's actually impossible to put a 9V battery in the wrong way round (ie. +/- transposed) so I'm stuck...

Any ideas?

Check the battery contacts yet?

Or that little tab in the DC jack that the DC plug pushes out of the way to bypass the battery?

Checked the battery contacts - fine - but not the DC jack, so I'll have a look now. Thanks.

The DC jack is well out of the way, and the battery contacts are ok, so I'm baffled. Maybe an internal wire or solder joint is loose.

UPDATE: it's working again now, and I've no idea why...!
