EBS Multi Comp - Compressor or just Limiter?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi,

As the subject line asks, is the dynacomp an actuall compressor or mainly a limiter? I'm trying to get a super squeezed sound out of it with no dynamics (to run in front of a markbass supersynth). Can the ebs do this? Suggestions for pedals that can achieve what I'm looking for welcome.

Thanks

You can definitely do super squashed with this compressor. You may also want to check out the Keeley Compresser for ultra-squashing.

MultiComp all the way. Subtle to squashy, vintage and coloured to modern, this pedal has it all.

Alternately, please read the FAQ linked in my sig to learn the difference is between a compressor and a limiter; and then note that the EBS has a maximum ratio of 5:1.
