EBS multicomp issue

I've got the previous version, the regular black on (no TBP).
The pedal arrived two days ago and already emptied the second battery.
Is it because I keep it turned off when not it use, but with a cable inside?

yes it is, as long as you keep a cable plugged in, the battery is used even when the pedal isn't turned on.
