I am doing some home recordings. Is it worth paying 200 dollars for an pedal compression like the EBS or will the Cubase compression function be sufficient?

do you jam with people/gig at all?

if so, then yes it's worth it. I love my Multicomp.

Cubase's comp / dynamics will give you more control than a stomp box, for recording. Plus it has a visual read out. Try chaining a comp with a loudness maximizer, the LM first.

thanks. I don't gig or jam. Just writing music on the computer. I think I will save that 200 dollars
