EBS Octabass True Bypass VS OCTRON

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi I need your feedback on which you like better..i.e tracking, sound whatever. I sold my older EBS Octabass and I am thinking about replacing it with either the new EBS with true bypass and supposedly better tracking or the Foxrox Octron which I haven't tried. The lower octave is my main purpose having the upper octave on the Octron would be gravy.

Never had any tracking problems with the old one. Interesting enough as I hear others say it does not go passed c, Mine goes passed to almost low e. But it being lost doesn't help me.

Hi has anybody actual compared these 2 pedals side by side??? I know there are other pedals like the Pog but I found it to be digital sounding not natural or warm. I just want the best analog low octave sound. Any feedback??

I've owned both. The EBS (in all modes) was more natural-sounding than the Octron. It also tracked slightly better. However, I liked the sound of the Octron better because it was "ruder" and I liked the upper octave very much and it tracked very well, just a little glitchier than the EBS.
