I can't decide which one to get. So in your Opinion which one is better? |

Anyhow... this depends on the tone you're looking for. But for me, it'd be the EHX Micro POG... the Octave Up is awesome.
If you need help deciding... just let us know what you're seeking. IMO, personalized guidance is better than any poll.

It's got a great sound, amazing analog tone to it. And the upper octave is great!

The Micro-POG has better tracking, is polyphonic, has up and down octave settings, and has extremely quiet operation... |

IMO, although the tracking of the Micro Pog is better and polyphonic, the Octabass wins in terms of musicality.
To me the Micro Pog sounds a little bit too digital. Even with the only the octave low, there is always a "zing" that I personally find annoying. Moreover, the EBS has 3 settings that allow me to select the octave sound (from deep to synth-like).
EBS Octabass, now is one of the must-have of my pedalboard.

My experience with the Octabass was that it detected the notes very quickly but wouldn't stay "latched" to sustained notes. For fast, staccato playing it worked well but not for more legato type playing.
I'm not sure which of those attributes describes the OPs question on tracking though. |

For fast and great tracking but digital sound and ability to do chords go for M. POG! |

I guess you would have to run separately out of the effect out and recombine with with your original signal somehow. Sounds like a PITA.
I don't understand why more octave pedals don't have tone controls for the octave up/down signals |

To warm things up a little I just run the lower octave at a higher volume than the other to volume knobs.

I don't understand why more octave pedals don't have tone controls for the octave up/down signals | Eventually my M-POG's wet signal will go into some sort of preamp or mild distortion (currently using the English Muff'n). The english muff'n works quite well in this regard.
The M-POG tracks so well i can get octave-up out of my low B. Octave down and my combo craps out, but i think if i use a really good rig the sub-sub B will be there.
