EBS sound with amp modeling

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi guy, I have a Bass V-Amp Pro (ok I know Behringer = crap and I look like a stupid noob for using it etc, etc, etc. Lets skip that part please) and I wanted to get an EBS like sound out of this, can you guys tell me which of the amp models would get me closer to what I want?

For those not familiar with the gear, the available models are:
’68 Marshall Super Bass Plexi with Vintage EL-34 tubes
’69 Marshall Major
Vox AC-100
Ampeg B-15
Ampeg SVT Classic
SVT PRO II
’67 Fender Bassman
Gallien/Krueger 800RB
SWR SM-400
Eden Traveller WT-300
Mesa Boogie 400+
Polytone A101

Just need some poiters to get me started, I'll try to pick up the rest from trial

I'd start with Gallien-Krueger. Maybe SWR or Eden too.

+1 to 1kinals suggestions.

Consider getting the EBS MicroBass II as well. It's a great pre-amp with loads of features and it WILL give you that EBS sound. I know it's kinda pricey, but it's an investment well worth it. There's a reason they're almost impossible to find on the used market here in Europe.

Thanks. I intend to yes. I bouht the Bass V-amp because it's very versatile, I get great bass and guitar sounds out of it and since I also play covers, being able to emulate the sound of each artist is cool too. But if my original band gets on the road, i'll buy the MicroBass as soon as I can aford it.
