Which of these is the better chorus for the money? I will have to save for the EBS if it really is as good as people say, but I just want to know whether or not these pedals are quality product too
thanks guys

I have the Unichorus and Boss CEB-3. My .02 cents....
The Unichorus has a mix control however unfortunately it is a trimpot inside. I really would like it to be able to adjust the mix via an accessible pot. It does have a mode switch that changes the delay time, but I would prefer a bit longer times than the preset times of 3 ms, 5.5, 10 ms. It's nice but not my goto chorus.
I like the Ceb-3 features of efx level and the ability to adjust the chorus crossover frequency. Cutting the lows on the chorus keeps the bottom end focused. Nice, but for me the preset delay time turns the chorus a bit to metalic not smooth. With the crossover though I can dial in a nice blend. I have not tried the Digitech but am intrigued. The demos sound nice and have a variety of settings available. I guess it depends on your use of a chorus also. I like to have subtle chorus to open up the sound and give it a little movement but not so much so as to be overbearing. But also like to be able to dial in a thick, lush chorus from time to time. My current choruses that I like are the DLS chorus-vibe, Dr Scientist Cosmichorus, Clone theory, or the Trex reptile delay that has modulation. If you are interested I have a number of chorus clips here:

One that I am interested in is the Visual Sound liquid chorus that has a variable delay time. And also the Digitech after hearing the demos and the Earthquaker devices... and plenty more.....
There are so many out there, good luck in your quest.

I want the ability to do lush, smooth chorus, would the boss be good for said smooth chorus sounds? I have an incredibly low quality clip of me playing through a keyboard amp with some thick chorus on, exactly the type I want in a pedal.

thanks so much guys!

I am looking for a chorus pedal myself so I will be keeping an eye on this one. I've been looking into the UniChorus because its supposed to be a chorus and Flange. Two birds with one stone I am thinking. And I can never seeing the need to use chorus and flange on the same song. So that's my vote with out trying the Trilogic. I own the Boss chorus, and can say its decent, but doesn't really sound that great. Typical Boss sound, not bad, but not really distinct IMO.

Go for a Boss CE-5, it's much better than the 3 you've mentioned and can usually be found quite cheap used.

I've owned all three. My favorite chorus has been the Analogman Choruses I've owned (with deep mode/mod). But between those three I'd go with the Boss, personally.

I thought I had seen on this forum that the EHX small clone was pretty good. I'm thinking about purchasing a locally produced clone of this pedal. Is it good for bass? Better than Boss?

+1

After going through a few different chorus pedals, I'm very happy with my CE-5. Lush, warm and doesn't kill the bottom end.

What's the difference between CE-5 and CEB-3? How is it that the one produced for bass is not as good as the generic one? Just curious...

The CEB-3 can be run with a dry out and an effected low pass out simultaneously so you can feed a guitar amp and produce a rhythm guitar sound whilst keeping your unaffected bass signal feeding to your bass amp. It is awesome!!

On the other hand, the Protone Raven Dirty Chorus is pretty cool. It has a subtle fuzz that runs with the switchable chorus/ tremolo effect that is quite unique and organic.

The CEB-3 is now in my full time chain to create the rhythm guitar track into a Traynor guitar amp. With a phaser after it it is so cool.

Currently I'm running:

Bass > Fuzzrocious Gray Stache/ Fuzzrocious Rat Tail > Boss CEB-3 > split low passed to < EHX Nano Stone > Traynor YCV 40 > split unaffected to ><T21 VT > Ampeg SVT 3 Pro
