EBS valve drive

Okay, yes, I did a search.

All I want is a tube in my signal to warm the tone up a bit and just get to a little bit of break up. Anyone with opinions on if this a good way to go. Going into an Acoustic Image Clarus for a Jazz sitch and a Markbass F1 for a classic rock band.

I have the EBS Multi-comp and love it.

FWIW: it doesn't look like one's come up on the classifieds anytime lately, so I'm assuming those who have them love them.

Yes, it will do exactly that, but NOT because it has a tube. Many other pedals will provide the same effect without a tube. But, I do love the Valve Drive, it's a great sounding preamp.
