EBS Valve Drive vs Way Huge Pork Loin?
Has anyone compared the EBS Valve against the Way Huge Pork Loin for low gain overdrive? I have the Pork Loin now and I really like it, but I don't know if the tube in the EBS would provide any extra warmth that I'm not already getting.

This depends on what you mean by "warmth", as many people have differing opinions on that. The Pork Loin is perfect for my idea of warmth, which is a dark, saturating sound that fills out your bass sound, basically extending it in all directions. It doesn't compress or otherwise react to your playing, it just adds to it. A tube pedal like the EBS Valve Drive, as well as other FET type overdrives that are designed to act like tubes, will behave differently. It will give a tube character, which reacts to your string attack and give a lot of mids by way of natural compression...but that in turn makes you feel like you're losing some of the low bass. If you like the Pork Loin, I say stick with it. Not many other pedals can do what it does. If you're wanting some real tube amp sound, then venture out.

If you wanted an overdrive pedal with a blend control, I would say go with the way huge pork loin if you wanted a good overdrive pedal for your bass. the valve drive is more like a tube-emulated overdrive pedal much like the sansamp bass driver or the sansamp para-driver. the pork loin on the other hand has a blended, transparent overdrive sound much like the voodoo lab sparkle drive.

Any other thoughts?
