Eden WTDI/Sansamp BDDI?

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm looking to get one of these DI's. I like the tones from both (courtesy of youtube and clips found here). I have a few questions though. I will be using it into a house PA at church and my jam band, but also plan on getting a powered PA speaker for a multi use amp for home/small gigs. The idea being to create a portable system. The Eden sounds great but does not have a distortion. I love the distortion on the Sansamp. Is it possible to use both in a chain? Or is that overkill? I'll also be adding a delay and maybe a chorus as well. I'm new to pedals, Ive been using a PodXT for a while. Do you see any issues with my proposed setup? Thanks

I just got the Eden WTDI & love it. I found the best set up for me, so far, is running it into the effects return on my amp. I have not tried the Sansamp & I am not into OD or distortion so I have no opinion the unit.

I have also wondered if you could run multiple outboard preamps together. Seems like you could with a low gain setting on your amp. I've seen guys with active basses use a outboard pre. That's really 3 pre's including the amps pre. right???

Well I wont have an amp pre due to only using a PA. I supose I could use the eden and look for an OD.

+1 for BDDI imo. a great little unit that no bass player should be without.
