So heres a game to play. Each week I pick a new pedal and every week everyboy chimes in on how they use that effect. How they tweek it for a sound that they use on an almost regular basis. Lets see how creative you are.

Rules:
1. Pedals are chosen by me, Im open to suggestion; send in your requests and which every you want you get PM me.
2. You can say how you use it in conjunction with another pedal of yours, but only under this condition
3. Samples, audio clips, pictures are welcome and encouraged.
4. Get loco

First Pedal:

Digitech Whammy - I use it in conjunction with my DL-4, but stomping on my preset which is set for the max on repeats, i just bump my whammy into 2 octave mode and just go to town on it. I use it alot at the end of a jammed riff or song. Some times and throw in my digi-delay and then stomp off my DL-4 so that i can trail out the delay with something a little bit more fresh.

Don't own one either - think you should make is a little more 'not-so-rare' pedals.

I was having some fun recently with a Whammy going into a HM-2 into BF-2 into DD-3. All of that is in the loop of a Barge VFB-2 with feedback on. Mainly the whammy is set to the oct up setting.

Basically I was just messing around creating some strange sounds for a friend to take some samples of for something he is working on.

Other than creating 'noise', I don't really use my whammy all that much. Its not a part of my current setup. Its under the bed somewhere

It would go well if people didn't chime in just to say that they haven't got the proposed effect.

The whammy is a quite common pedal here, and obviously there is no pedal owned by all of the TB community.

I have the original WH-1 Whammy, and I mostly use it for octave up/down sweeps, and the +6th harmony setting is quite cool too.

Bass Whammy...5th up/6th up = "Whales" ala JC

Harmony Octave down + fuzz = "Ghost of Tom Joad" anyone?

Octave up + either GT-2, Bluebeard, or Tonebender + Headrush = "Where's the guitar player at?"

Harmony 5th up + GT-2 + Headrush = rhythm guitar parts

Oct up + distortion + Headrush = "Acid Trip Trails"

I could go on forever....

my typical use of the Whammy v4 is set to 2 Oct Up + Frostwave Funk-A-Duck, in the loop of the Xotic X-Blender blended back with my dry tone, which produces a nice funky invisible guitarist following my basslines.

I'm doing solo stuff with loop stations so I use my Whammy IV almost constantly.

My favorite setting is +2 octaves with an ebow and a delay. If you are very gentle on the expression pedal you can get these amazing whale noises.

I mostly use the harmony settings. With my guitar. Whammy sounds kinda **** with bass, IMO. I like my Boss PS5 much better with bass.
