effect input/output jack question

I have recently posted a topic about me getting some unwanted distortion off my zoom b1x pedal (cheapie i kno) and some say that there could be somethin with the jacks. can anyone give me any advice on how to fix this? cleaning it? replacing? anything? thank you.

Go to an electronics store like Radio Shack or whatever you have locally and ask for spray contact cleaner. A good one is "Caig's Pro Gold". Just spray a bit into each jack, then work a plug in and out of the jack several times to break up any dirt or corrosion in there. If that doesn't work, then you can replace them but you'll need to know how to solder.
