Effect layout...??

Sign in to disble this ad
I am about to build my own pedal board and want to put these effects on it. Which order should I go in? Any suggestions? I eventually get a Q-tron and a little big muff to throw in there.

The stock answer (and the right one) is to experiment and see what you like best.

Personally, I would arrange it this way:

Bass-->Wah-->Blowtorch-->Opto Stomp--->Phase 90-->Cool Cat-->amp

If you got a Q-Tron I'd put it right after the wah and the Muff before or after the Blowtorch depending on your preferences.

That said, some people like their wah after their dirt. And some people like their compressor at the beginning or end of their chain. This is just how I would arrange them. And some people group their phaser with their filter effects.

I don't even know what the Cool Cat does, but I'd go bass > Blowtorch > Opto-Stomp > wah > Phase with the other four.
