Effect Pedal similar to but better than Boss LMB-3?

I bought a Boss LMB-3 yesterday and love what it does. It's almost a perfect pedal for slapping.

However, even with the Enhance knob all the way down, it does add slight hiss to the signal. It's not too bad but I hear it when the unit is on.

So, I wonder if there's a quiet pedal that functions like the LMB-3.

As for my own preferences, I currently use the Aguilar TLC to keep things in check. Very good at limiting, no noise that I notice. Unfortunately, it costs about twice as much as the LMB-3. It also is slightly larger than the LMB-3, which could be important if you are trying to fit a crowd of pedals on your board.

The TLC seems like the best limiter pedal. Why can't it be more affordable? :-)

because it's awesome? there are more expensive compressors that are not nearly as good.
