I want to know what the fuzzy, distortion type effect used on the bass in this song is? If you don't know the exact pedal, do you know of anything similar?
Here is the song
Thank you

I used to cover that. I used an Electronix Messdrive was often told it sounded exactly right. Although, Jack Lawrence keeps a Big Muff, a Bass Micro Synth and an English Muff'n on his board. Salute your Solution is definitely the muff.

Actually, he used the EHX English Muff'n for "Salute Your Salution". It can be seen(vaguely) in the video for the song as well as in a picture of his pedalboard from that time (which I cannot locate at the moment).

He currently uses a Fulltone Bass-drive and an EHX Bass Micro Synth with the Dead Weather. The picture for his pedalboard with these pedals can be seen in the Pedalboards of the Stars thread.

I have never seen a pedalboard of his that contained a Big Muff.

I haven't seen it on the board either, but listening to recordings (including work with Dead Weather and Raconteurs) I'm confident he's used a muff
