How to recreate "Doctor Who" on Guitar

Electro-Harmonix Effectology, Vol.16 "Doctor Who"

In this episode I recreate the original 1963 "Doctor Who" theme using just a guitar and effect pedals.
I also show all the individual pedal settings at the EHX forum listed below.

"Who da man?!?"... oh, I'm never saying that again, fine."

As for the creation? Oh. My. God. Massive effects plus the theme to "Doctor Who" = Greatness. BOSS, DigiTech, et al: "EXTERMINATE!"

That is pretty darn good. It captures the spirit of the original sounds very well.

I think the new version of the TV them is horrible. Bring back the spooky old one I say.

Anyone seen the 60's footage of Deliah Derbishire at the BBC, tuning all those old tape machines (the size of washing machines!) on syncing it all by hand, cutting all those bits of tape up to make rhythm loops.. amazing.

I don't even like the show, and I find this to be incredibly awesome. The one thing I love about EHX pedals is just trainwrecking them together, sitting down and playing with them.
Makes me sad my BMS isn't working currently.

I love that song so much. It takes me back to when science fiction WAS creepy.

Brilliant job.

I heard a show on Radio 4 about some of Delia's lesser-known work the other day and perhaps unsurprisingly she was putting out insanely innovative and mindblowing electronic music on a daily basis when she worked for the BBC. A real pioneer.
