Effector 13 - Console II (made possible by Devi Ever)

A pedal that takes cartridges like a Nintendo. The unit itself will cost $135, comes with Devi's Punch Love cartridge with additional ones priced at $50. Details found here:

I'll raise my eyebrow curious. Sometimes I would rather things like this just 'appear' rather than the inevitable build-up, delay, wait, hype, explosion, fade away cycle. Maybe thats just me being jaded in my old age

Oh I'm curious, its not a new idea. It's just never been pulled off well.

If it happens with the builder list up there, I'm interested. I'd rock Great Destroyer / B:Assmaster dual pedal

I'm not sure if I would buy it, but I like the novelty of the idea. It's hard to beat the versatility of individual pedals the can be rearranged by unplugging them and rearranging in whatever order you desire. Not sure I would want to invest in a format that has little chance of succeeding. I think they're shooting for novelty rather than function because of the format. The cartridges insert vertically which makes it difficult to use with pedalboards with covers or cases. I'd rather see something more ToneCore-ish.

Just an opinion. I give them props for trying something new.

Apparently the cartridges don't stick out that far once inserted, so it wouldn't be a problem.

Ah, good to know. I guess I was picturing the Atari 2600 that it's modelled after. Well, I guess "borrows from aesthetically" would be more accurate.

If it will fit comfortably in my PT case, and if there are good, bass-friendly dirt cartridges, I will consider it. It's a very curious idea and the thought mixing Dwarfcraft and FuzzHugger into one unit is very exciting.
