For some reason... I can't see that one sounding too great for bass. And unless you were going to mount it on your bass, the joystick would be kind of lame to have to bend down and fiddle with. Plus, I don't think the price is justified...
Devi and other boutique/small brands market their products more towards experimentalists/noise artists. If you want something new and original, then it's worth it for them. Plus, I think Soda Meisers (Devi says that two of that style fuzzes are in the Synth Mangler) are 100-200 each. I think that should be taken into consideration for the pricing of it.
Personally, I think it's a "so-so" pedal... depends on the settings really, and there are tons of possibilities. I bet it can deliver anywhere between a brittle, light fuzz to full-on-death fuzz. Some people like to tweak as well.

I'm all for tweaking and fiddling with the settings of a pedal, especially fuzz. But the demo videos that I have found on YouTube have been less than exciting. There aren't that many different tones to be had IMO. Now if ZVex would start modifying their Fuzz Factories for bass, or put some more controls on the Wooly Mammoth...
edit: Also, I'd agree with a price of 100-200 for this pedal... but $295 plus shipping?
