this was the best pedal based compressor i have ever heard... for the entire hour it worked! i am having a string of pedal bad luck this week. when i turn on the pc-2a, the red light comes on but no sound comes out. when bypassed, very little sound comes out. i have tried switching around cables and changing basses, going straight to the amp and checking everything. i sent effectrode an email, but does anyone have any ideas as to something else i might try. thanks.

That suggests to me that the bypass circuit has a problem, like a weak solder joint or similar poor connection. The only other idea I have off the top of my head is--are you positive you don't have the input and output jacks mixed up? Happens to the best of us sometimes, honestly. Also, are you using the power supply that came with the pedal?

thanks bongo. yeah i checked the in and out and i am using the power supply they provided, so it may be a bypass issue. im pretty confident they will help me out though. really nice pedal while it worked.
