tuner -> muff -> BDDI -> BBE -> amp
This way you only compress the signal going to your amp, not toward the PA.

ODB3 -> Garbage can

How are you using the BDDI? Are you using it as an 'amp' or as on overdrive?

If you were using it as an amp modeller, then it would go last, if as an overdrive I would put it before the muff as it's generally best to put dirt boxes in order of gain - low to high.

Also, I had been in the camp of putting compression after dirt so the drive responded to dynamics and the volume was evened out by compression. However, I found this to cause more volume issues than was manageable. I also realised when I use dirt, it tends to be on heavier tracks where dynamics don't really enter into the equation. I now run dirt after compression and it's much more manageable.

So if I had your rig I'd run it:
Tuner -> BBE -> ODB3 -> Muff -> BDDI.

If you were to run the BDDI as a low gain dirtbox though I'd run it:
Tuner -> BBE -> BDDI -> ODB3 -> Muff.

I do however agree with Jazz Ad though. The ODB-3 is a box of fizzy junk. There's better things out there if you just want a boost, even a graphic eq would be better and more controllable. Again though, put any form of boost after compression to have more control over final volume.

You asked how we would run it.
By all means if you're happy with the Boss, keep it.

Hahaha! That OBD-3 is my love/hate pedal. It sounded good on my active Cort bass, but when I upgraded to a Fender, it started sounding like garbage.

Anyway, heres how I'd run them

Tuner -> Fuzz -> OBD-3 -> BBE -> BDDI

I liked that i could blend my clean signal in both the OBD-3 and Bass Big Muff, the 2 band EQ and the slightest touch of drive on that Boss helped the fuzz out a bit.

The ODB-3 by itself does leaves a lot to be desired. However, if you push the -3 through your Sansamp BDDI you can get a nice fat sound. As a starting point, use the ODB-3 "natural overdrive" preset and the Sansamp "fat tube" preset. The BDDI can bring any crap pedal to life.
