Effects for a dirty dude

I like my clean tone dirty. I have a guv'nor to make it dirtier, and a super hard on to make it even dirtier if need be. My "clean"tone is having my GK mb500 with the gain about 12:00 and the master at 3:00. I haven GK neo 115s. Any modulation effect is either buried in the dirt or too over bearing. What an I doing wrong? I just want a nice subtle flange or something. Thanks!

IME, 'nice subtle flange' is code for chorus or phaser.

try a proco rat or blackout effectors musket! the musket is amazing because of the mids knob. Something big muffs dont have but should have.
