I am floored by this. Seriously amazing stuff. Thanks to Mr. Pickles for putting this whole shindig together, cheapbasslovin for the artwork, and everyone who contributed tracks. Oh yeah, and GoDaddy for not censoring my horrible, horrible website over the years.

Also yes, the track order does not line up with the artwork. I'll let Mr. Mixman and Mr. Artwork fight to the death decide which aspect shall change, and then correct from there. Either that or leave it be, because mistakes are awesome.

EDIT: Fix'd!

It's eerie how similar the tracks are. Listening to the bonus track is kinda creepy as well when it becomes apparent that all the tracks reach their crescendo at pretty much the same point.

The Bonus Track blew my mind!

Cool idea, and it really worked out great!
I keep hearing phantom voices and stuff in it. It gives me chills!

You two-timing, low-down, dirt-kicking...

I'm working all weekend!

Come monday, I'll give this the respect it deserves.
For those in the know, how's it stack up to part I?

I wish I had known about this when I had my big board, I used to record some ridiculous noise.
Very well done, all of you! I have some meditation tunes now

No Sophmore Slump for Volume 2!

I'd guess I'd say it's more tightly focused on noise over structure than Vol 1.

There is little use of harmony or rhythm (with a few exceptions, and those tracks work well within the compilation, providing some contrast to the more chaotic examples.)

As Mr. Pickles said earlier, these tracks, while all made independently, somehow feel like parts of a whole (I think the first compilation served as a guide to this group of contributors, and we all jumped off from the same point, if that makes sense?)

Makes perfect sense, and you're not making this wait any easier.

As for me, I think my batteries are just about recharged for V3. Gonna lay some phat beats over some new shapes, and find the note between B and C, if you catch my meaning.

Set your tuner to 435. Inste:d of 440. -p

I'll be downloading it as soon as I get home, and can't wait for v3 to come so I can get on it. Time for the rebirth of my drone project...

That was a mighty Boosh reference, for the record.

I'll post the clip later, I'm wiped out right now.

Sure I'm biased since I'm on the comp but I just listened to it through my new speakers and it's awesome. Well done guys. This album put a big smile on my face. Sure it doesn't say much about our bass playing abilities (most of you are probably much better than I am) but it has a ton of creativity. And I'll take that any day.

yeah the first one I did I purposely didn't tune my bass so that the notes sounded like 'waves' and then add in pitch shifter and distortion and other things and it just sounded nothing like a bass hehe

I haven't gotten through it all yet . I stole my daughters mp3 player ('cause that's how I roll, yo) to make sure I could get the full stereo effect and the battery died about 20 minutes in . So far so good!

Here is an updated graphic. I'm pretty sure it's right. If it's not, I'm not sure I or anyone else cares .
