I am floored by this. Seriously amazing stuff. Thanks to Mr. Pickles for putting this whole shindig together, cheapbasslovin for the artwork, and everyone who contributed tracks. Oh yeah, and GoDaddy for not censoring my horrible, horrible website over the years.

I'll let Mr. Mixman and Mr. Artwork fight to the death decide which aspect shall change, and then correct from there. Either that or leave it be, because mistakes are awesome.
EDIT: Fix'd!

Cool idea, and it really worked out great!
I keep hearing phantom voices and stuff in it. It gives me chills! |

I'd guess I'd say it's more tightly focused on noise over structure than Vol 1.
There is little use of harmony or rhythm (with a few exceptions, and those tracks work well within the compilation, providing some contrast to the more chaotic examples.)
As Mr. Pickles said earlier, these tracks, while all made independently, somehow feel like parts of a whole (I think the first compilation served as a guide to this group of contributors, and we all jumped off from the same point, if that makes sense?) |

As for me, I think my batteries are just about recharged for V3. Gonna lay some phat beats over some new shapes, and find the note between B and C, if you catch my meaning. |

I'll be downloading it as soon as I get home, and can't wait for v3 to come so I can get on it. Time for the rebirth of my drone project... |

This album put a big smile on my face. Sure it doesn't say much about our bass playing abilities (most of you are probably much better than I am) but it has a ton of creativity. And I'll take that any day. |

Time for the rebirth of my drone project... | yeah the first one I did I purposely didn't tune my bass so that the notes sounded like 'waves' and then add in pitch shifter and distortion and other things and it just sounded nothing like a bass hehe

Here is an updated graphic. I'm pretty sure it's right. If it's not, I'm not sure I or anyone else cares . | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
