TC Electronics Rack Processor M350. Personally my experience with its predecessor (M300) is good.

I think some kind of harmonizer would sound great on a sax.

Wah, WH-4 and a tremolo with an expression pedal or tap tempo would be cool.

the sax player for Galactic has a SICK board for his sax/harmonica - look into a whammy and an OD, a delay unit, do it right.

i already have a huge pedal board so i might get a smaller board for just my sax stuff. i tried the digidelay and the dd-3 for bass but not enough to justify it on my board. what specific brands should i look at?

look at maybe an eh pog, a digitech whammy, and some sort of boss delay/echo? imagine using the reverse delay on a sax. the new space echo reissue is killer. those are the pedals i have been craving to play, id imagine you could get some nasty tones out of them with a sax.

Definitely get an envelope filter. The guy from Bela Fleck and the Flektones uses one, here's a great video of him using one. And you can also hear an enveloped Bassoon!

EDIT: He's using a Qtron by the way.

EDIT EDIT: He's also using an Eventide Eclipse Harmonizer, don't think it's in this video though. The bassoonist is using a Harmonizer though.

For some out there stuff that you can make sure is the same everytime, digitech studio quad. I also used a Morley wah, EH phaser, and a digitech delay set to analog/tape.

The following link is to me, being 16 and not having a car, in the country. 1 take on sax then 1 on bass. These are just what I could get to fit onto Myspace. Using the above effects set up for both bass and sax.
its been 9 years. Thats some odd crap.
