Depends on how you like your EQ. If you boost the lows a ton, putting the compressor post EQ will mean you are passing the threshold almost all the time, resulting in a very squashed sound with "missing" or "swallowed" highs and mids. OTOH if you tend to EQ for more highs and high mids, you may actually be bringing the levels of those frequencies up to more of a "balance" with the lows (in terms of actual signal level, not how we hear it); in that case you will get a more consistent and natural-sounding response from the compressor post EQ.
Those are just two "extreme" examples to make the point that different frequencies have different signal levels, and the compressor will react to the stronger levels, so base your choice NOT on what we think, but on how it sounds to you when you try it, since it is entirely dependent on you, your technique, your tastes, your bass, the strings, the EQ/enhance/etc. on the amp, yadda yadda.
