Effects or not??

Sign in to disble this ad
effectively () I can't decide wether to buy a Korg AX3000B or just not get any effects?

I've been playing for 2 years or soo and am in 2 bands with friends i think i could get by easy enough with out the pedal but it would be fun to use and easy for gigs, seeing as it has a tuner and all the effects to a quality im likely to ever need .

So the real question is go i buy the Korg AX3000B for £132 or do i spend said money down the pub ( as it would probly end up there eventually) ?

(sorry for the obvious pun at the begining)

Is both an option?????

I have a little Zoom B2 jobby and it does the job. I really only use a little chorus and reverb sometimes i use some overdrive but VERY rarely. Basically get a cheap multi-FX, spend the rest down the pub.

When you know what FX you use then go and buy the single stop boxes that you like (Usually a stomp box will be better than a multi)

PS the zoom was about £30 off the bay!

Go ahead and buy it, play with it, figure out what you like and don't like and then become a pedal junkie like most people here.

Hey, careful man, you're making me sound irrational. My girlfriend might read this and use it as ammunition.

Just be careful with the superlatives, that's all I'm saying. For the good of the group.

My bad. Move along, there are no effects fanatics nor pedal junkies here.....

Hmm... well, I am a fanatic, and the fanatic in me says "buy some effects."

The grumpy old man in me says "don't buy a multi"...

...he also cannot condone wasting money at a pub so he suggests you buy a bottle of Wild Turkey and invite some friends over!

Perfect answer, right there.

Side note: niftydog, RV is one of my favorite FNM songs. Mike Patton is genius.
