An effects novice building a blender/TB pedal

I've decided to redo my pedalboard, and build four separate TB loops with blend knobs on each. I somewhat understand how to work the 3PDT switch into the circuit, but get kinda confused looking at the schematic for seanm's B. Blender. I also, if possible, would like to wire an indicator light for each loop, powered by AC power (would have a daisy chained PSA-120S for this, separate from the power to the pedals). I do have experience with an iron, from rewiring guitars and basses, just am a little rusty on reading schematics.

Does anyone have a legend for the different symbols in seanm's schematic? Also, is a PCB necessary for this? I'd want the whole unit to be as compact as possible to save as much board space as possible.

edit: I forgot to ask, what's the best place to buy the supplies?

All of the symbols on that schematic are pretty standard. Wikipedia will give you all the info you need.

Pretty much any opamp will work, Radio Shack sells a TL082 dual opamp that will work in that circuit. Even on a perfboard, that circuit will be about 1.5 x 1.5 inches, so, pretty big. There is a perfboard layout floating around online somewhere. I may have it. If I find it later, I'll send it to you. That circuit is pretty straightforward, but will take a decent sized enclosure. You can do it with, without, or with both an AC adapter and battery, since the power supply for the opamps and LED's are both 9 volts. Radio Shack has everything you need for it besides the pot. I buy pots, enclosures, and switches from pedalpartsplus.com

Is this compact enough : http://gaussmarkov.net/wordpress/circuits/b-blender/
