Cool effects in pairs

I was rearranging pedals and experimenting a bit which led me to belive others have as well. I built a 3 loop pedal and was making different pedal loops. I have a DOD FX25B envelope that I always felt very -eh- about; I put a homemade booster infront of it in a 2 pedal loop and - WOW, totally dig the sounds I get.

From there, what 2 or 3 (let's keep 'em short) pedal play well or don't play well together for you?

Thanks for your views.

I put an overdrive (mesa bottle rocket) into a phaser (small stone) to get a classic stoner sound. But, if I put my fulltone bass driver between the bottle rocket and the small stone, I get an awesome sound of doom.

I suppose someone should get the classic Fuzz-filter-octave combination in

I also really rate phaser and delay, if you set the delay right you can get the sweeps to meet at very interesting points, make it modulated delay and phaser and things just get wacky

Recently I've also found found my oc-2 after my whammy actually sounds really good, need full dry and about half oct1 on the oc-2, but it sounds quite interesting

Definitely! Although I use flanger instead of phaser now. You can get some great sounds and it's not often you get the same sounds every time.

Human Gear Animato (switch set to the right, dime the tone knob, a hair short of diming the distortion knob) & EBS ValveDrive (zero out the treb, mids about 8ish, bass about 3, gain about 9ish, modern mode) in parallel sound like OMFGTHATBETHEEMEFFINSHIZNITZ!! thru my Mesa set-up. (Which is ironic cuz either one soloed like that, even w/my clean tone blended in, sounds GAWDAWFUL... each in it's own way)

Barber Dirty Bomb and EHX English Muff'n don't seem to play nice w/other pedals thus far in my (very limited) experience. Total hum/buzz-fest... forced me to buy a gate.

My EHX DMM almost always needs a boost after it as it doesn't have enough headroom for basses. I also use a TS clone after my third-gen DOD FX25 so I can get more consistent volume out of it, especially when I'm using it for dub sounds.
