Effects/pedals used by Tim Commerford of RATM?

Sign in to disble this ad
Listening to Live at the GOA, and as I cover a lot of ratm, I want to know what pedals/effects he uses. The growl found especially in Freedom off Live at the grand olympic auditorium is unlike anything ive ever heard.

Does anyone have any idea? thanks.

This has been covered countless times. SEARCH NEXT TIME.

Also, it's impossible. Timmy C is God.

If you do a search you'll find a huge amount of info on Timmy C and his gear.

His overdrive is a homemade job though early with RATM he used an original Marshall Guv'nor. He used Dunlop wahs, first one then two connected each sending a signal to his clean and dirty rigs. He's also used a Boss OC-2 and one of the Boss DD delays (DD-3?) and an Aphex Punch factory.

A bigger Commerford fan can correct any misstatements but I believe that's right.

Also remember that a lot of his grind comes from his tri-amped crazy setup and that he rewires his amps for "his" sound.

I rip on people day after day for not searching before posting on my car's forum. Why the hell do I do it here.

Well, thanks everyone. I am looking for a used 4001/4003 Fireglo and I searched for that. I guess when I posted this I thought I had already searched?

I need sleep. :P

With that answered, can anyone tell me how to get Justin Chancellor's tone without a Wal. Or better yet, whats the difference between a Jazz and a Precision bass?

Calm down there hot shot. It's a joke....I try to post the same thing anytime there is yet ANOTHER "How does Commerford get his sound?" thread.

Just trying to lighten the mood....
