Effects That They Will Have to Pry From Your Cold, Dead Fingers?

Sign in to disble this ad
So, what effects (tuners not included) will they have to pry from your cold, dead fingers? For me its...

1. Cream Pie (I'm SO in love)
2. Danelectro Cool Cat Chorus DC-1 (the full size 9v version)
3. Tech 21 VT Bass

What say you TB'ers?

1.) Music Eletronix Submarine
2.) Demeter Compulator
3.) Barber LTD SR

Thats basically my ballsy-overdriven sound I'll have for a long, long time...

I can't think of anything else I wouldn't part with. I used these for over 10 years and on.

Probably my Mad Prof Snow White Auto Wah... everything else probably could be satisfactorily replaced by something else.

I had a compulator at one point - loved it lots. Good pick.

I would replace any effect if they came out with an equal but upgraded version of it. But as of now,
1. Looperlative LP-1 looper
2. MXR Blowtorch

My 105Q Wah, the pedal I mostly use. I use that thing for more trippy tones, aside from just a wah-wah.

I will probably keep my RV-3 and Vintage Rat around. They do things I like, but aren't so desired by others that I could sell them for way more than I paid and just be fine with something else. I would love to say my Bluebeard, but it's already pretty sought after. If, in a few years, they make it to original Way Huge or Lovetone going prices, you better bet I would let it go. At least I'm honest.

At this point, I'd fight to the death to keep my whole board. Been through about 50 or so pedals in recent years, and the 11 that's left are as important to me as one of my prized basses. That said, my Trex Squeezer was an anneversary present from my wife, so that ain't goin' nowhere.

Probably nothing.

There are pedals I have that are unique on the market, but I have my own ideas to improve on all of them, so I'm sure other companies do too. So either replacements will come out, or maybe someday I'll make them myself.

I had the 18v version of the Cool Cat; it was probably the best chorus I've ever had. One of the few things I regret getting rid of.

Definitely my OLC Flipster. Closest I have to an "always on" pedal.

Those are not effects. Those are picking utensils/body parts.

As for me, nothing I currently own. My QuantumDrive is way up near there, but I won't say never. My Turbo Tuner is in that category, but that isn't an effect.

I don't know if there's any pedals I've got that I'll never sell. The longest period of favour so far has been the BMS and OC-2, but I'm very fond of my Octavius Squeezer too and my Meatwad.

But if something else came out that did what I wanted better, I'd move them on. They're not like my kids or whatever.

Fuzzrocious Munch the Muffin
EHX POG2

The others can be easily replaced.

Edit: I think I know now what raised your eyebrow. What I should have said was just "Cream Pie" - I have a blue one which has been referred to as a Blueberry Cream Pie, but should not be confused with a BJFE Blueberry which is different.

See this thread: Cream Pie colors
