Effects to use to fill space when there is no keyboardist

I wasn't sure how to appropriately sensationalize this thread title to get more attention ... but here it goes.

I play g**tar and bass for a bunch of different people and it amazes me how few times there is someone on keys/organ. It fills a really nice part of the music and I would like to fill that part when appropriate/necessary. Part of me has thought using the (Micro) POG would be a could start with my modded MM4 on the rotary drum setting for some B3 type stuff. EH Micro synth? Looking for everything as simple as little vamp patches to crazy modulation 12-step phasing, envelope filtering goodness.

Are there some pedals that might do this better than others? Suggestions?

I just got the MM4 so I haven't tried the chorus out using anything but the ol' '67 330. I have an old Ibanez analog stereo chorus that I like a lot. I've never used it with delay and a compressor before. Thoughts on that?

Thanks, Optimus.
