So I've been looking at a lot of different effect pedals and other than maybe a wah pedal I haven't seen a whole lot that aren't extremely specific and not really generally usable plus they're all really exspensive, any suggestion on somthing good to get right off the bat? |

i dunno... that is my advice... just buying effects to try them is kinda silly... borrow some to see what you like, if you really want to start playing with effects, but have no vision...
i think effects are really dangerous if you have no concept for your sound, or sonic goal... they are a means to an end.

Except a flanger. Everyone MUST have a flanger.

john | I agree completely with this. Don't go to effects, let them come to you.

Then I lost it all in a fire and realized I never used the things in band situations, just for making cool bass stuff on my own. I currently use zero effects with the bands that I'm in.
