Question EH LPB-1 or MXR M133 MIRCO AMP

i am using a passive J bass,and i wanna to get booster.
i have try the mxr m133 ,and feel good.the eh lpb1 is much cheaper than the m133,i have no chance to try it .i wonder if lpb1 do the same with the m133.just to boost the sign for my j bass.
help...

I have no experience with the MXR, but I owned the LPB-1 and was very happy with it. It is small, cheap, and gives a very nice clean boost. Should work more than fine to give your bass some extra oompf!

Since I don't need a clean boost/cut anymore, I sold mine to my guitar player who is also really happy with it.

The standard unmodded LPB-1 seems to boost the bass end a lot more than the rest of the spectrum, at least the one I briefly owned did.
