Any significant difference in tone, reliability, etc, vs the original POG, microPOG, and POG v2?

Original POG is supposed to have a bit of hiss in some settings that the Micro POG does not have and I believe the POG2 doesn't have. The big trapezoid boxes seem to have had more reliability issues that the smaller XO boxes, but that's not a POG-particular issue.

In terms of parameters and controls there are differences between all three, can't comment as to tone differences.

My original POG hasn't given me any issues over the three years or so I've owned it.

I like the MicroPog for it's size, but I miss the Detuned octave up and 2 octaves up. There is probably a mod, but I don't feel like doing it.

Considering it's a digital octaver, I'm sure the mod would likely be beyond the casual BYOC level user.

Indeed. It's still an awesome pedal nonetheless. Plus, i have an excuse to get a pitch shifter.

There is.... Add a chorus pedal afterwards! I know that will chorus all the octaves, but it does sound good!

Will the micro POG and POG2 run off a standard boss adapter or do they have their own power supply?

MicroPog definately. POG2 will, but I'd use a 1 spot, because the POG2 requires 180 mA. (BOSS PSA adapters are 200 mA)

A Boss AC adapter will work fine, but the POGs do come with their own power supplies.

What difference would that make? Extra mA can't hurt a pedal.

I should have mentioned if he planned to diasy chain. I haven't had my daily caffe arabica infusion yet, so these things do not occur to me. I also quit smoking again...
