EH (Vintage) Clone Theory Analog Chorus vs. Analogman Standard Chorus

I have a friend who is looking at both for bass. I have the AM (with Deep Toggle) and love it. Never had or heard that EH. So, wanted to know if anyone out there has tried both. If so, opinions?

He's considering the 70's version of the EH with the self-contained power supply.

Let's just discuss these two models rather than other alternatives. Thanks.

The Analogman will be quieter (less noisy) and with the deep mod will be better suited for bass.

My tech a few years ago serviced Peter Hook's Clone Theory and then tried my AM Mini Chorus w/deep mod and said it was such a better pedal, particularly in terms of noise

Thanks. That's great input! Seems like Hooky didn't change to an AM though. Did you tech mention if the sound profiles were similar? I believe the AM was based on the EM.

And I agree. The Deep Mod or Toggle capability is quite amazing for bass use.

No but if you read most Hooky interviews he doesn't care to much about his gear, likes what he likes and just uses it for as long as possible
