Well, I'm sure something's been said on this pedal before, but I'm about to head out and as such don't have time to search. So feel free to reply, redirect me to other threads, or do nothing and I'll search later. Anyway, anyone here using/liking it? I just heard my first couple clips of it (particularly on EHX's BMS/Bass Blogger video... I'd previously only watched the first half) and was really impressed by its fat, rubbery, low gain kinda drive. I doubt I'd use or be interested in the fuzz side, but that overdrive sounded pretty sweet!

I got one, brought it home, and found it didn't work. So, I can only comment on the fact that that now makes three, (count'em, 3) non functioning Ehx XO series pedals I've bought in the last couple of years. The other two were both Stereo Electric Mistresses, and one of those worked long enough for me to really start diggin' the pedal. I would have to assume there are many better choices for a bass overdrive pedal, but who knows, you may get a good one, and then tell us how cool it is. Sorry for the rant.

I tried one about six months ago.

Rubbery is right. Not much else. Didn't like the clipping artifacts at all, from either circuit.

Even if you find you like it, the effect is negligible until you literally crank the drive. I didn't find it even worth it to have it in the chain until about 60% drive, I don't care how "subtle" you like your effects.

Well, I do like 'em subtle... I use my Cream Pie as a low gain drive pedal (as opposed to a germanium boost, say, in front of a tube amp), and you don't really get any "drive" from it til the drive knob is at or past about 1-2:00 (and I keep mine right at 3:00).
