EHX Bassballs partially died

Hi Guys,

I bought an EHX Nano Bassballs a few days ago. I never put a battery to it and just used it with a regular multi voltage transformer set at 9 volts.

Yesterday I used it the first hour of band practice. When I got back after a short brake the pedal was dead and there was a little smell of something having burnt (only noticeable when smelling right on the pedal).

When I got home I tried it again. Dead while using the transformer but it does work when using batteries.

I'm taking it now to the store to see if I get covered by the warranty.

anyone has any idea what could have happened? I used the same transformer with several other pedals before and never had any issues.

Return it for a new one. Don't accept broken "new" things.

Thanks for the input.
I just came back from the store and they are willing to solve the problem by getting me a new unit.

In any case I would like to know comments on the issue I mentioned. I just want to know that I didnt do anything wrong that can affect another unit.

So far I think I didnt but I'm not very good for electric- electronic issue.
