ehx big muff pi....whats the trick?

Sign in to disble this ad
i'm having problems figuring this pedal out...

if i plug straight into it,bass into the input, cord to the amp into the effects out, with no other pedals it works like i think it should...

hit it on,it's nice and fuzzy, hit it off,i get my clean tone...

when i plug my morley power wah in front of it,if i'm using my effect out, when i hit the button to get my clean tone,i get no sound...

if i use the dry out,i get no sound if i try to get the fuzzy sound...

when i have the pedal wired into a carl martin looper pedal,i get no sound from the pedal whatsoever,no matter if i'm using the effect out or the dry out jacks...

all i want to use this pedal for is to add some fuzz to the morley...

any suggestions?

thanks...

how are you powering them - are they all getting enough juice? double check your patch cables already?

Is it the big silver or the black russian?

The russian ones have their input and outputs around the wrong way

this is something i've never come across with pedals at all, have you tried them seperately? tried different cables?

are you sure the wah is working properly? try each one(pedal) by itself, make sure all cables are good and batteries\power supply is working.....when you get it working right, try the wah after the fuzz..

I've had similar problems with my Morley Dual Wah. Have you tried powering it with a 9v battery? It seems like some of the Morleys don't like daisy chains and one-spots...

i completely agree with this!

anytime i've ran a wah or volume pedal i run it off of a separate power supply. not sure why, but they don't seem to get the juice they need.

thanks to everyone that took the time to respond...

the morley i'm using is the tel ray version...

i was able to get the big muff to work in the looper, but it still wont play with the morley...

i'm using the carl martin octa-switch,where you can assign pedals to the banks....

the morley does work with my boss odb-3,so i'm able to get the distorted wah i want, just not the exact tone i'm wanting for it...

back to the drawing board....

How do you like the Octa-switch? I am thinking of pulling the trigger on one.

Sorry for the hijack but I see you might need a break from the 'drawing board'

give the morely its own power supply then run the other stomp boxes like normal with the daisy chain/one spot like normal. this sounds like a power thin to me.
