EHX - Doctor Q

I have enough space on my pedalboard for just an EHX nano, and I saw this little baby called Doctor Q.
Anyone here with any knowledge about it? Is it a good dynamic wah for bass?

It only has one sound, a quack on attacks.
Perfect for funk guitar licks. It would probably work decently in slap.

Bought one a few days ago. It came in on Friday and did not get a chance to gig it yet. There are some slight modifications you have to do to get the best out of it for bass. Run it towards the end of your chain

I used one since they came out...for electric trumpet though! I've bough 2 more of the vintage ones over the years. They wear out... With the switch up (band pass) it was a perfect auto-wah. The distortion if driven was cool too. The first ones out in the 70s have no 'on light' and there is an adjustable pot inside: you could adjust the sensitivity (very useful when the source is loud). The low pass function (switch down) is really just as others have described. I tried a nano new one and it was dimensionless, or maybe I'm used to fidelity and more complex envelopes these days.

Get a BassBalls instead, much more useful, especially if modded.

It could be worse: yours could be broken when you purchase it, and you're so lazy, it takes two years to send it to Long Island for them to fix it. I don't miss it, that's for sure.

Anyway, the Doctor Q. I was waiting for someone to make a stupid comment pertaining to the fact that Karen Gillan, who is normally quite fetching, has looked absolutely stunning these past two episodes. Maybe a reference to her penchant for miniskirts, or her ginger-ness.

The Bassballs is more usefull. The Doctor Q should still be nice, but at least try a Bassballs before you settle with the Dr.

Far more tweakable if modded and probably better suited for bass than the Dr. (IMO)
