Anyone use an EHX Freeze Frame? Seems like it would be a fun pedal to mess around with.

You mean the Freeze? I have one. I really like it. Its definitely fun to mess around with, even if you just want to do some bass line noodling with a chord. Its interesting that it can easily be something useful for traditional chord music, drone music, and noise music.

When I saw the thread title, I thought someone found out they were releasing an XO-sized Freeze with a bunch of extras

Yes, the Freeze is very cool. Its uses will be pretty limited in most musical styles, but there's almost nothing out there like it when you look at its feature set.

I thought the same thing, Bryan. I'm hoping they make one with a stacking feature or a pitch bending feature. Or both!

I was actually thinking about it today when rearranging my board, which is why my hopes were up. I really like your stacking idea. An adjustable freeze time up to a few seconds (for catching notes with beat-affected sounds like step phaser or tremolo) and an expression pedal out options for catching/using the drone and the drone volume would be great as well. If they made one that was fully MIDI-controllable I'd send them my first-born child. She's 7 and would probably put up a fight, but a man's got to have his pedals.

I really want to try one, I think it would be cool to use to play drop-whatever songs on a 5 string and have the root note ring out during the riff. That way you wouldn't have to drop anything. At least that's how it would work in my most recent project.
